Wow! We've had a great start! Welcome to both our new members and returning members. I'm so happy to see everyone here. Of course grand openings can be a bit slow, but that's totally fine! I myself have some little tweaks I still need to make here and there. Our Secret Santa post is up & going, if you'd like to join. We will be having a season change within the next few days, which includes a theme change too! If you're browsing the site & unsure about joining, please do not be afraid to ask questions in our chat box or Discord :) We hope you join!

Deep in the tundra, nearing the alpine tree-line that eventually disappears as the mountains begin, lie several weathered rocks. These rocks have been eroded for years due to ice, snow, and rain. They have caved in and provided the clan with natural homes, protected from the harsh winds that hit during leaf-bare. There are also several smaller glaciers nearby. Surrounding the rocks are several tundra plants, including mosses, which climb the rocks, blue grass and other grasses, and several flower types. GlacierClan's camp is the only place in the entire tundra where plants can survive most of the year. This is due to the nutrients provided by the rocks. As for bedding the clan use the moss that grows directly in their camp.
To the east of the forest lies the tundra where the GlacierClan cats live. In the southernmost part of the land is a swamp where waterfowl reside for most of the year before migrating even further south in leaf-bare. GlacierClan cats traverse the tundra often and the further north they go, the harder the ground gets. The tundra earned its name due to the primary vegetation: blue alpine grass. The grass is short and requires the clan to learn how to blend in, especially when bears, wolves or even lynxes venture into their territory. Snow hares occupy several burrows throughout and the clan have become adept to pinpointing where the rabbits and hares hide. There are several glaciers to the north and east within the tundra due to the many rivers.
Deep in the forest are a series of fallen logs, knocked over after several storms. Spruces, pines, and other trees litter the ground, intermingling with younger trees and ancient ones alike. When walking through the forest one cannot see the sky completely as the forest is so dense. The clan make their homes in these fallen trees. Grasses, shrubs, mosses, and lichen grow over the logs, hiding the entrances out of plain view. Nearby is a river and the base of one of the smaller mountains to the north. The clan have adapted to their forest home and are often found playing and practicing around their dens.
The forest stretches all the way towards the closest city to the south and north to the mountains. The clan traverse through the dark world. There are patches throughout the forest that let in light. A majority of the time the clan are enshrouded in night. Its name stems from the fact that a clan cat cannot see the stars at night. Mice, rabbits who wander in from the northeast tundra, birds, and other small mammals provide the clan with a majority of their food. Hidden in the forest are small creeks that disappear just as often as they reappear elsewhere. There are ancient tunnels unknown to the clan that run through the forest from the mountains.
Hidden in between one of the shorter mountains and the tall mountains that allow for the tribe to view the Northern Lights lies the tribe's camp. In this small mountain tundra area are a series of caves in the mountain that were created after years of snow and sleet beat away the stone. The camp is not large and is fairly well protected with boulders spread around. As it is always cold the tribe try to remain in the largest cave that serves as their meeting area and place to congregate when leaf-bares prove to be fierce. Arctic grasses fill the mountain tundra and there are scattered about dwarf alpines.
The majority of the tribe's territory consists of the rocky cliffs and small areas and patches of mountain tundra. The mountains earned their name for the freezing temperatures that occur during mid to late leaf-fall, leaf-bare, and the very beginning of new-leaf. Throughout the decent parts of the year the tribe, especially the younger members enjoy playing in the grasses and hiding among the boulders. North of the tallest mountains is the true arctic. Atop the mountains after one travels through a lengthy mountain pass is Twilight's Lookout which lets the tribe members view the Northern Lights in leaf-bare.
A sacred location, the cave dedicated to the Fates serves as a meeting place for the clans and tribe. When there is a full moon the three groups will travel from their territory and gather around the entrance of the cave. The leaders and chief sit atop the cave which is set against a small, frozen hill. After the Great War some cats fled to the cave and reemerged later on and joined one of the groups led by Duskstar, Morningstar or Twilightstar. This cave is loaded with crystals and is considered a holy place. Leaders and the chief, along with medicine cats and the tribe healer will visit the cave on their own time if they feel they need guidance from their respective Fate.

In the southern part of the land, near SpruceClan is a creek where bears gather in green-leaf. This creek also attracts twolegs from the southern city and towns. Salmon spawn here hence its name. The cats, if they feel like traveling this far, enjoy watching the fish or simply playing in the cool water during green-leaf. If tribe cats wish to visit the creek they have to journey from the mountains and past the Cave of the Fates to reach this creek.
